Your video and generated GIF
The video you choose is read and converted in your current browser. The converter has no feature that sends the original video or generated GIF to a server. A file you download remains in the location selected on your device.
The working queue and in-progress results are managed in the current page’s memory. Removing a file from the queue or closing the page releases that working state. “Clear all” clears the working queue; it does not delete saved preferences or the original videos on your device. Downloaded files remain on your device until you delete them separately.
Preferences stored in this browser
When “Remember settings in this browser” is enabled, changing settings stores conversion options such as target size, width, FPS, aspect ratio and color count in local browser storage. The stored preferences do not contain the video, its filename or the generated GIF.
Preferences may remain without an automatic expiry date. Uncheck the remember-settings option in the converter to remove its saved preferences, or clear this site’s data using your browser settings. The unchecked state itself is not saved: reopening the page restores the default checked state. While unchecked on the current page, new preferences are not stored.
Page requests and hosting
No video upload does not mean no internet communication. Requests for the page, scripts, styles and sample video pass through the hosting service. Normal request information such as IP address, requested URL and browser information is transmitted to that service.
FitMyGIF has not directly installed a separate visitor analytics service. The converter and usage guides load Google AdSense advertising code; advertising requests and measurement are described below.
Google AdSense and advertising information
The converter and usage guides include Google AdSense advertising code. Loading this code sends information such as the page URL, IP address and browser information to Google. Google and advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention.
Google and advertising partners may serve ads based on previous visits to this or other websites. Ad personalization depends on your Google ad settings and applicable choices. Advertising code requests may occur even when no ad is displayed. FitMyGIF’s conversion code does not send source videos or generated GIFs to advertising providers.

Your advertising and cookie choices
You can manage personalized advertising in Google’s ad settings and manage or delete cookies in your browser. Turning off personalized ads does not necessarily stop processing for ad delivery, measurement or fraud prevention.
“Remember settings in this browser” controls only FitMyGIF’s conversion preferences. Turning it off does not also change advertising cookies or your Google ad settings.
Looking after your files
Use videos you have permission to process. On a shared device, review the working queue and downloaded files when you finish. Browser extensions, the operating system and other installed software operate separately from the FitMyGIF converter.
