When a short movement tells the story

Show a product opening, fabric moving, food texture or one step in a demonstration. Preview the movement and actual file size before using your GIF in a blog post or product page.

Choose the balance yourself

Select start and end times, keep the original aspect ratio or crop to 1:1, 16:9 or 9:16. Adjust target size, output width, FPS and color count. You can lock width or FPS while the tool tries the remaining options.

A target file size is an optimization goal, not a guaranteed result. Movement, detail and locked settings can keep a result above the target. Check the actual output size before downloading.

Your video is processed in your browser

The converter does not upload your original video or generated GIF to a server. Download the result you want to keep. Normal internet requests still load the page and sample assets. The converter and usage guides also make separate requests for Google advertising code. Read the file and privacy notice for details.

What the tool supports

  • MP4, MOV and WebM videos that your browser can play. Codec support varies even for files with the same extension.
  • Up to 250MB per file and up to 30 seconds per conversion.
  • Video-to-GIF conversion. Existing GIF compression, photo sequences and captions are not included.
  • GIF output has no audio and a limited color palette, so colors may differ from the original video.

Try the sample first

Use the sample in the converter, change one setting at a time and compare the results. The size and quality guide explains which settings to adjust when a GIF is too large.
