03 / MADE FOR YOUR WORK

Turn product videos
into GIFs for your store

Choose a useful moment from a product video you already have. A short GIF can show how a product works, how fabric moves, or the texture of food.

Start with your product video

Start with a short product demonstration

  1. Choose one action.Pick a 2–4 second moment with a clear beginning and end, such as opening a lid or using the product.
  2. Keep the product in view.Crop around the product. Try 480 px, 15 FPS and a 3 MB target as a starting point, then compare the result.
  3. Check the result before publishing.Review the motion, colors and file size, then adjust them to meet the requirements of the site where you will publish.

These settings are starting points; results depend on your clip and choices. This tool converts part of an existing video. It does not animate still photos or add captions.

Questions about
video to GIF?

From trimming your clip to
choosing a target file size.

Can I turn just part of a video into a GIF?

Yes. Drag the timeline handles or enter the start and end times to choose your clip. You can also change the aspect ratio and crop position. Each GIF can use up to 30 seconds of video.

Is my video uploaded to a server?

No. Your device reads the video and creates the GIF in your browser. The converter does not send your source video or finished GIF to a server. Requests to load the website and Google advertising code occur separately. Download any results you want to keep before closing the page.

Can I convert a video to a GIF under 3 MB, 5 MB or 10 MB?

Choose a preset or enter a target file size. We adjust dimensions, frame rate and colors to try to stay at or below it. We count 1 MB as 1,000,000 bytes and show the actual file size and whether it meets your target. A long clip or complex motion can put the result over the target. Try a shorter clip or unlock FPS and width, then convert again.

Can I keep my chosen frame rate and width?

Select Lock next to Frame rate or Width to keep that output setting while we try to meet your target file size. Fewer adjustable settings can mean a larger result. The FPS lock keeps the output frame rate you selected; it does not automatically detect or preserve the source video’s frame rate.

Can I compress an existing GIF?

This tool currently converts MP4, MOV and WebM videos to GIF. It does not accept existing GIFs for compression or combine still images into an animation.

How can I make my GIF smoother and clearer?

A higher frame rate can make motion smoother, and a larger width gives you a larger image. Both can increase file size. Start with a short clip and check the result. GIF has a limited color palette, so it may not fully preserve the colors in your original video.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes, if your phone’s browser supports the video. Conversion speed and the files you can open depend on the device and browser. If conversion fails, try a shorter clip and smaller dimensions, or use a computer.

Will the GIF keep the video’s sound?

GIF does not support audio. Only the moving images from your selected clip are saved as a looping animation.
